What should I wear?
One of the most asked questions I get. Well that depends on what the vision for your session is! Your location will be a big influence on what you should wear. I always recommend staying away from everyone in matching outfits as this will date the photos. If you plan on wearing heels, I will also suggest bringing some comfortable flats or flip flops to walk around in. Try to find your inspiration piece and build everyone else's outfit around it. Then layout all the outfits together and make sure nothing sticks out in a bad way. Wear something you feel great in and fits you well, your confidence will shine!
Where do the shoots take place?
Shoots can take place indoors or outdoors. I love shooting outdoors! I have a few places that are my go-to spots so be sure to ask about them when we chat. The place in which the shoot will take place will depend heavily on the vision of your session.
What is a retainer fee?
A retainer fee holds your date and time for your shoot, this is non-refundable. Transferability is case to case.
Why can't I book a shoot in an open field at noon?
I want to be able to provide you with the best quality imagery possible. When outside, especially at any place with a lack of shade, I can’t provide the quality that I strive for. Let's face it here in Texas during the hours of 11-4 during the summer, not only will we all melt but the sun is very high in the sky. This means that it will cast some crazy shadows on your face and under your eyes. Since cloudy days can never be predicted I always try to schedule sessions as close to sunrise and sunset as I can.
How long does it take to get the link for my online gallery?
Portrait and family sessions will be available to view two weeks from your session date, if you need them rushed, I will try my best to accommodate for a fee.
It seems like you took hundreds of photos, why can't I see them all?
Yes, I probably did take over a hundred photos! However, I go through and weed out the ones that may have your eyes closed, your mouth frozen mid-sentence or that just are not up to my standards. I can promise you that I'm not hiding any amazing photos for myself. My goal is to give you the best images to display around your home and social media.
